Trigger Job in a Bag - Springfield Armory XDE
The Langdon Tactical Trigger Job in a Bag greatly enhances trigger feel and performance without sacrificing safety or reliability. Double-action pull is reduced by 2lbs while the safety of both factory reset and over travel distances is retained. The LTT Trigger Job Kit for the Springfield Armory XD-E also further enhances Springfield Armory's Low Effort Slide by reducing the effort needed to rack the slide and cock the hammer even further. this will work on the 9mm and .45 Caliber XD-E's.
The LTT Trigger Job Kit for the Springfield Armory XD-E includes:
- Hammer
- Hammer Spring Guide
- Hammer Spring Support
- Trigger Bar
- Hammer Spring
- Low-Profile Hammer
- Option of two different hammer spring weights.
- 20% reduction weight 12.7 lbs spring for reliability with US and NATO-spec ammunition. (Recommended weight for the .45 caliber)
- 25% reduction weight 12 lbs spring provides reliability with US-Spec Ammunition
Installation by a competent gunsmith is recommended. Install Instructions can be found here.

XDE Trigger in a bag
It works, it does decrease pull weight, but at $130 for a spring and trigger bar. That to me is expensive. Yes they give you two extra pieces and a LTT hammer. But you basically get two different pieces for $130.

Trigger in a bag XD-E
I have to say I did take much longer to do then Mr. Langdon did in the utube video haha but after hunting that little ooo so little ball and the 3rd time I found out what I was doing wrong the trigger bar spring I was not putting it in correct and it was a hit and miss on the pulls hahaha but I get it and now its great very smooth pull. It did a lot on the double pull and some on the single witch that was OK before but now so much more smooth EZ like silk I do very much like my New pistol XD-E is very sweet now
. Thank y'all -
XDE Trigger Job in a Bag - Langdon Tactical
I posted this on the Springfield XDE Forum 3/10/20:
I finished installing the Langdon Tactical trigger and hammer kit last night. XD-E .45 ACP
The YouTube video is good. It's best to freeze it in a few places to see what's going on. I found the retainer clip for the decocker/slide release to be a little challenging; otherwise all went well.
Just returned from the range. No feed problems; ammo ranged from standard 230g hardball (Fiocchi), to 230g FMJ flat point (BP target), to 185g JHP (Privi Partizan). I sometimes mixed these up within a magazine; nonetheless there were no feed problems. One Fiocchi didn't fire initially. The primer dimple was the same as other fired rounds, and on the third try it went off. I'd attribute this to ammo. Later in the session the slide didn't stay retracted three times, all with the seven round magazine. The pistol was getting dirty at this point, and there's always the chance of me limp-wristing late in the session. I doubt it's anything hardware related. 150 rounds total.
The double-action trigger pull is noticeably better, and all things trigger related were somewhat crisper. The low profile hammer can be cocked with the thumb; the shooter doesn't have to rack the slide. Whether or not you want the hammer changed is of course a matter of personal preference. The trigger improvement is the highlight here. I'm satisfied. -
XD-E Trigger in a bag.
I received the parts and did the install myself while watching the instructional "Youtube". It wasn't quite as easy as it looked but got the job done and am very happy with the results. Thank you.

Amazing upgrade
Just bought the 12.7 and new hammer. Not sure the hammer needed to ordered as I do like the stock hammer but figured why not. Anyway, the stock trigger was really the only thing I wasn’t crazy about with the XDE. But this solved that problem right away. The trigger pulls so much smoother now. I haven’t lost a single touch on my accuracy. Great product very highly recommended!!!!

XDE Trigger Job in a Bag
I've been waiting for someone to offer a trigger improvement for this gun for some time. I haven't shot the gun with this modification yet (weather), but the parts are installed and I'm already impressed. The DA trigger pull is now about 2 lbs lighter (12.7# spring), much smoother, and with very little stacking near the break. Seems like the decocker works easier too, maybe because there is less pressure from the reduced hammer spring. Excellent product, very pleased as this is an easy gun to carry and now it will shoot a lot better for me.
