Optimized Performance Trigger Bar (92/M9/96)

(106 reviews) Write a Review

The NEW Optimized Performance Trigger Bar from LTT provides significant reduction in reset distance, improved double action, and a reduction in over travel on your Beretta 92/M9A1/M9A3. You can use it alone or combine it with an LTT Trigger job for quicker, smoother and more predictable shots.

The Black is the Duralube finish discussed in the video linked above. The NP3 option is the silver/nickel Teflon finish.

  • Will the OP Trigger Bar work with the existing trigger job/trigger job in a bag I have? Yes it will.
  • Will the OP Trigger Bar work with the Short Reach Trigger? Yes.
  • Is this drop in ready? Yes. It may need to be fitted, but less than the other trigger bars we sell.
  • What 92's will this work in? It will work in the 92F models and later and *may* also work with 92SB's. It will not work with the 92S.
  • Do I need to have a trigger job on my gun in order for this to work? No, you do not.
  • Is the firing pin block functional and gun still drop safe with the installation of this OP Trigger Bar? Yes.
  • Will the OP Trigger Bar work on a 92 Compact and Centurion? Yes.
  • Will the OP Trigger Bar work on the 92D? Yes, it will work, but it will not reduce the reset.
  • Does the OP Trigger Bar reduce pre-travel? No.
  • Will the OP Trigger Bar work on a 92D or Double action only model? The hard finish should make the Double action smoother, but it will not reduce the reset. The OP Trigger Bar shortens the reset in single action only.
  • I Installed my OP Trigger Bar and now I feel a 'hitch' in DA? At the very beginning of the trigger pull in DA, the 'hitch' is the half cock notch. All of them do it, this is normal, you may just notice it more because it's actually smoother. You may even hear it, but rest assured, it's normal. It's a safety measure and part of DA/SA operation.

Installed the LTT trigger bar tonight

Posted by Eric Foote on Jan 16th 2020

I live in Maricopa, AZ and ordered this on 1-15-2020 and received it on 1-16-2020. Ernest is about 30 miles away from me. So, I'm under the impression that this trigger bar is not just a drop in and that having to do some filing is the norm, which was fine with me. I have an Italian made M9A3 and the trigger has been NICE from day one. I took my time and filed the nub down little by little until the dbl action worked reliably and boy it seems to be more consistent now. I really like the reset on it now also, it's about as good as my Sig P226 Legion SAO...maybe 1/16". I tried it with the Wilson short reach trigger and I didn't like the feel of that trigger. When I was messing with filing the trigger bar, I was going back and forth on seeing where the trigger bar was with the 2 triggers, and for some reason, the Wilson trigger would have required me to take even more material off the nub of the trigger bar to get the dbl action to function. I didn't like the Wilson trigger in single action. It was too close to the grip and just didn't feel right. I also tried a Wilson 14# spring and didn't like it and put the D spring back in. I think a lot of the Wilson parts are just hype. An M9A3 is quality and not much needs to be done to it. The Wilson low profile safety and mag assist are the only 2 upgrades from them that I've liked. I went with a Beretta steel guide rod, elite 2 hammer, and stayed with Beretta springs. Lok bogie grips were the finishing touch.

    The best upgrade

I've got this and the trigger job in a bag from Landgon. If you can only pick one upgrade for your Beretta, do yourself a favor and make it this part. It's such a dramatic improvement, and combined with the trigger job it's a night and day difference over stock.

Wow, I thought I'd tuned my LTT, but this upgrade makes the Beretta LTT feel better than my SRT triggers in my Sig Classic pistols! Great job engineering this upgrade!!!!

    OP Trigger Bar

The reset with this trigger bar is amazing. Totally worth it. The trigger pull is smoother compared to stock trigger bar. I installed it on a late 90's 92fs and had to shave a slight amount off the trigger bar stop or else the single-action trigger wouldn't release.

Great product ! Combined with the #13 hammer spring the DA/SA trigger pull is amazing. The only con I have would be letting customers know what stone to use if fitting is required .

    Optimized Performance Trigger Bar

Posted by Jimke on Jan 9th 2020

I ordered this item based on the many positive reviews posted. I have a 92FS and added Wilson Combat Short reach trigger, trigger return spring and #14 hammer spring previous to the LT OP Trigger Bar. This was not a direct drop-in for my 92FS and I did have to do some filing on the trigger bar for it to function correctly. The LT video tutorial did mention and cover how to correct the issue. I'm somewhat disappointed as I was expecting a dramatic improvement in feel and overall function...it is better but not allot better.

Very nice bar. Easy install and noticeable difference from the stock bar.
