Its a 92X. With an amazing trigger job for the same price.... what's not to love? Smooth DA pull around 7.5 lbs....and the SA is almost cheating
Great job by Langdon
I'm a former Navy Corpsman. I've owned a M9A3 for a while now and truly love it. So I have an affinity for the 92 series pistols. I thought I'd try out a 92X with the Langdon treatment for my occasional forays into action shooting competitions with friends.
This pistol is an absolute dream. All I can say is smooth and fast. The double action triggers on 92s are already quite smooth; the Langdon trigger job is noticeably smoother. Most 92s have a pretty long and noticeable trigger reset; the Langdon trigger job shortens this to what feels like mere angstroms.
I firmly believe that purposeful practice is the only thing that makes a better shooter. But this pistol receives high marks from me for making the trigger management easier to do well, and more quickly.
Note: After fewer than 200 rounds, the follower in one of my magazines broke, rendering the magazine useless. Beretta does not currently sell followers for these magazines, and suggested I simply buy another magazine. (This is not LTT's fault, just a note.)
Awesome gun and customer service was very responsive!
The only issue with the 92x was it was difficult to know everything they were doing with the gun. It’s very well defined with the 92ltt elite and other models. I figured I’d be getting upgraded sights but I did not. I probably should have asked CS, but hey. Also, not all of the original parts were included in my case, which is a bummer in case something happens (hammer and spring guide specifically missing).
Again, the gun itself is amazing and you should get one, just make sure that you are more aware than I am as to exactly what is being swapped and what should be included in your kit.
Will be buying more LTT products when the paychecks keep coming in.
The trigger is now noticeably smoother, crisper, lighter and shorter than stock on even the 92X. The reset is extremely short and facilitates follow up shots. The turn around time from order to ship was extremely fast (your mileage may vary). I’ll likely be back for more products/work.
As someone with large hands, but short fingers, I have been (im)patiently waiting for LTT to start working over the 92X series as it provides me the appropriate grip and trigger reach compared to the original humpback design of the 92 series. I couldn't be happier with the quality of the work and how quickly they turned around my order. Customer service was excellent and the fit and the finish of the pistol is superb. LTT trigger jobs are worth every penny. Thank you for offering a quality product with service to match. You just need to add vertec style grips to the LTT G10 grip offerings!
Outstanding pistol at a very reasonable price. The straight 92x grip is an improvement over the traditional model 92 (in my opinion). The price of the pistol with the Langdon trigger job was only $45 more than my local shop was selling the stock 92x. That is a bargain. The trigger on the stock gun isn't bad the Langdon trigger is excellent (especially in single action). Highly recommended.
